Birthday Parties
There IS no better place to enjoy “stepping into a story” than
the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem, particularly on your
birthday!
We have partnered with Dewey's Bakery to make your child's birthday party just that more special...
Let us help you plan an exciting birthday for the child in
your life.
Times
Tuesday-Saturday: 10:30-11:30 a.m., 12:30-1:30 p.m., and 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Sundays: 2-3 p.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Your room is reserved for an hour. We suggest you
use 10 minutes for setup, 45 minutes to celebrate and 5
minutes to clean up.

1.“Do It Yourself”

Use of private party room(s)*

Full day of admission to the Museum for your guests
• Museum party assistant for 1 hour
• Cost: $150 for 1-15 children, $290 for 16-30 children
• Cost for members: $135 for 1-15 children, $260 for 16-30 children
* For larger numbers,
please book BOTH rooms. Each rooms holds a maximum of 15 children.
2. “Do It Deluxe”
Same as Package #1, PLUS:

All party supplies (table coverings, napkins, plates,
and forks)

Birthday cake from Dewey's Bakery
•
Juice
• Cost: $210 for 1-15 children, $390 for 16-30 children
• Cost for members: $190 for 1-15 children, $350 for 16-30 children
3. **NEW** “Do It Themed”
Same as Package #1, PLUS:
•
Your choice of theme:
Pirate, Princess, Penguin, or Mrs. Cottontail presents Beatrix Potter Bunny Party
• Themed postcard invitations to send to all your guests
•
All party supplies with your chosen theme (table coverings, napkins, plates, and forks)
•
Custom themed birthday cake from Dewey's Bakery and Juice
• Goody bags for each of your guests
• Additional 30 minutes of activities including a storytime and theme inspired craft activities for all your guests to make and take home.
• Cost: $300 for 1-15 children, $490 for 16-30 children
• Cost for members: $270 for 1-15 children, $440 for 16-30 children
Special Instructions
-Please book your party as EARLY as possible!
-Reservations
are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be secured
with a $50 non-refundable deposit.
-Payment in full is due one week prior to the party.
-For the safety and well-being of your guests as well as other
Museum visitors, we REQUIRE at least one (1) adult chaperone
for every five (5) children.
Extra Value
For an additional cost per event, you may choose any of these
options:

Special craft activity for all your guests to make and take
home ($25 per party of 15 children or less)
•
Jack and the Beanstalk invitations to send to your guests ($0.50 each)
•
Goody bags for all your guests ($3 per bag)

10% discount on birthday cakes from Dewey's
Buy a Brick
Recognize someone special by purchasing one of the bricks in our "Alphabet Walkway." Bricks are $125 or $400 (double size) and can be engraved with a name, date, even a short description. Whether you are honoring a teacher, a birthday, a wedding or simply a special person in your life, this is a great gift for someone who has everything! Cancellation Policy
If you have scheduled a birthday party at the Children's Museum and have to cancel, our refund procedure is as follows:
- More than 30 days in advance--full refund (minus non-refundable deposit)
- 14 - 30 days in advance--50% refund (minus non-refundable deposit)
- Less than 14 days in advance--no refund
