Group Visits

Any group of 15 or more may reserve a group visit during general Museum hours. Smaller groups from preschools and daycares may request exceptions.

Group Visits include:

  • Orientation upon arrival
  • Schedules for exploration of the Museum
  • Museum Guide (map and behavior guidelines)
  • Reserved space in a lunch room

 

Field Trips (September – May)

School groups of 15 or more may visit during general Museum hours. Field trips include your choice of program that meets grade-appropriate state standards led by Museum Teaching Artists.  Lesson plans/performances are provided at no extra cost.  Please see lesson/performance options in the Educator’s Guide.

 

Field Trips include:

Cost for Group Visits and Field Trips

  • The group rate at CMWS is $5 per child.  One adult chaperone is required for every five children. Required chaperones receive free admission. Additional guests (parents, grandparents, guests, and siblings) receive the same discounted group admission rate of $5 per person.
  • Payment for your group is requested on the day of your visit.  If your school is coming on multiple days, you may make one payment on the last day of your visits. We accept cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover).
    • Parents, grandparents, guests, and siblings can pay separately at the door.
    • Children’s Museum Family Memberships do not apply to group visits.
    • Children’s Museum coupons do not apply to group visits.
  • September, December, and January are discount months. Group admission is $4 per child.
  • Home School discount: school-age children are $3 each, Tuesday through Friday from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Home school educators will receive free admission with proof of home school educator status from the state (ID, email, official letter).
  • Title I schools, please contact the Education Programs Manager for financial aid rates.
